Firm Profile
Apart from knowing I have done more than 750 estate plans (and more each week) you might want to know about my background. I am happily married and with my wife, have three children, Jacob, Victoria and Maximilian. We live in the area and, when I’m not working I enjoy things like interval training, kayaking, and other outdoor things (including the fall and winter).
As for my education, I am a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago. I majored in Political Science and did quite well (graduating magna cum laude and with departmental honors in political science). I am a practicing Catholic and a member of Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit honor society. I went to law school in Ann Arbor, Michigan, when Ave Maria School of Law was located there. I graduated from Ave in 2008, and had a great experience.
Through my undergraduate and law school career I took the opportunity to live and study in Europe. I spent a semester in Rome, Italy, in 2004 and a summer in Krakow, Poland, in 2007. In Rome, I attended Loyola’s satellite “Rome Center” campus. During law school, I attended classes with Polish students at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Apart from estate planning, I do a lot of work with importers and represent people before U.S. Customs & Border Protection (see that side of my practice here: www.greatlakescustomslaw.com).
I am licensed to practice in Michigan and Illinois, and various Federal courts.
